Alexandra Solea is an international cultural affairs professional, cultural entrepreneur, lecturer, musicologist. She has received the PhD in History and Analysis of Musical Cultures from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Musicology, Piano and Arts Administration (summa cum laude, with highest honours) from both the National University of Music in Bucharest and “Santa Cecilia” Music Conservatory in Rome, double-majoring in the study of Italian Baroque music and Eastern European music in the Twentieth Century.
As senior arts administration expert, she has collaborated with international top-level institutions in performing arts management, including: European Music Council (Germany), Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro dell’Opera “La Fenice”, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Italy), BOZAR (Belgium), Sadler’s Wells (UK), Accademia Filarmonica Romana (Italy), Teatro Olimpico (Italy), Romanian Cultural Institute, China Shanghai International Arts Festival (China), “George Enescu” International Festival and Competition (Romania).
Being a passionate and dynamic young cultural entrepreneur, Alexandra is Founder & Executive Director of the arts management organization Solèart Management, based in Rome (Italy) and Co-Founder & CEO of Undivided ltd, a leading cultural management company located in Bucharest (Romania), with the aim to encourage the international environment to give greater importance to the cultural and educational dimensions, to promote the communication of arts and culture and provide to the society the richness of artistic thought and the creativity of young people.
Alexandra Solea has attended professional training courses in international relations and cultural affairs at: U.S. Embassy to Italy, Embassy of Romania to Italy, European Parliament, European Commission (representations to Italy) and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Diplomatic Institute – D.G.R.O.). Moreover, she has been Resident Fellow of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education and Research at the Romanian Academy in Rome, and has been awarded with various research fellowships and grants by: Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Rome), The Festival Academy (Brussels), European Festivals Association (Brussels), The Asia-Europe Foundation – ASEF (Singapore).
She is Fellow&Member of the European Music Council (Bonn), the biggest European network of organizations and institutions operating in the music sector, and Alumna&Fellow of Stiftung Mercator (Essen) and TÜSİAD (Istanbul), Turkey’s top business organization, international programme under the patronage of Federica Mogherini, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs.
The passion for university lecturing and education field has started throughout the collaboration with the National Music University in Bucharest (Romania) – Centre for Scientific Research and Artistic Projects, where she has been Assistant–Researcher and, later on, with “Tor Vergata” 2 University of Rome – Department of Business, Government and Philosophy, as Research Teaching Assistant, for the courses in Music Aesthetics and Philosophy, History and Analysis of Music Interpretation and Music Psychology.
She has been appointed in various examination boards by “Santa Cecilia” Music Conservatory in Rome, as External Expert for the final examinations of the MA degree in Music Management, and by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and Italian National Committee for the Practical Learning of Music, for “Claudio Abbado” National Music Award for the Schools, under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
