Michela Pittaluga holds a PhD in History of Art achieved at the Courtauld Institiute of Art – University of London – and she has had the chance to enhance the main area of the History of Art and the Art Market either through academic and professional experiences. She has taught the Foundation course (History of art from Ancient Greek to Contemporary Art) at the Courtauld Institute of Art, worked for the publishing of the two catalogues of the entire art collection of the Banca Carige in Genova and worked at the Università degli Studi di Genova in the Administrative Department for the conservation of the Artistic Heritage. In 2013 she moved to Zurich, Switzerland, where she stared working for an Art Broker Company and then in a contemporary gallery. Thanks to these experiences she got involved in the contemporary art market internationally. She now works for Weng Contemporary, an e-commerce gallery specialized in fine art edition of the most sought after blue-chip artists, where she is in charge of sales and logistics and involved in business development.
